Nearly 20 Years Of Criminal Law Experience Defending The People Of South Bend
Biography
Since 2005, Peter has concentrated his legal career almost exclusively on criminal law. He began as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Elkhart County, Indiana, where he tried more than 70 cases to verdict. His prosecutorial work focused on drug offenses—investigating and prosecuting possession, distribution, and manufacturing cases—in collaboration with local and federal law enforcement. He also assisted the Elkhart County Interdiction and Covert Enforcement (ICE) Unit on long-term investigations and managed the county’s complex civil forfeiture program. Later in his career, Peter handled child-victim prosecutions, including cases of child battery, molestation, and sexual misconduct.
In 2016, Peter co-founded Francisco Britton LLP and shifted to private practice, focusing on criminal defense. After his former partner’s 2024 judicial appointment, Peter formed Britton Law LLC. As a defense attorney, Peter has tried numerous cases to verdict, from simple misdemeanors to complex murder cases. Since 2016, Peter has been dedicated to defending the rights of individuals throughout Northern Indiana.
